Preparation and specification
A colour card is a starting point. Larger samples help assess the relationship between walls, ceilings, joinery and the furnishings that will remain.

- Sample boards and trial areas
- A room-by-room colour schedule
Planning the work
Record the manufacturer, colour reference and finish for each surface. This gives the decorating scope a clear specification and helps with later maintenance.
Before you enquire
Share the address, photographs of the surfaces and any access restrictions. Include your preferred timing and whether the building will remain occupied. Preparation, materials and any repairs can then be discussed as a defined scope.
